William Orbit Exclusive Interview

FEMALEFIRST.CO.UK: In my youth, being an avid reader of style bible The Face, who always championed William Orbit as one of the coolest cats around, naturally, when I heard that I was going to have the pleasure of interviewing the Grammy Award-winning producer extraordinaire myself, to be honest, I was a little afraid.


After all, he is one of the most famous and experimental artists of modern times. Either he's fusing timeless classical pieces with the electronica of now, or busting out the high-energy dance tunes, with what seems, on the outside at least, to be done with minimal effort.

He's also one of the most sought after producers in the biz. Working his magic on albums from the likes of Madonna, (Ray Of Light) U2, (Electrical Storm) and Blur (13) just to name a few.

So when I got the chance to interview him about his new album, the ambient, melodic and dam-right beautiful ' Hello Waveforms' I expected him to be a bit, well, pretentious really.

Thankfully I was proven wrong. Not only is William friendly, open and honest, but he's bloody talented as well...
